Story lore while still in development

So I'm pretty slow at updating this project. I'm still doing it, but next update will not be ready yet.

Instead I wanted to share some behind the scenes history and also some future info.

First of all, I had to learn coding for this. I had actually been in collage for computer coding, but was not able to finish...

Then I switch to a free online computer course  and could not complete that either!

By that time I was already inspired to  make my own visual novel after playing a couple others.

But I hesitated to even look up how for several months as I felt I was just not good with coding...

After thinking about it though, I decided to try. The variant of python used by renpy was a lot easier to learn then what I had been studying, so I dived right into my creation.

The original version of Dragongate was actually a lot more like Blackgate. The main character was going to be a human and also there was only going to be one bat character, Marcel.

However I never actually did anything with this story, I kept having second thoughts about it and after a while started over.

The very first build was rushed as I had some personal and family problems and wanted to have my VN published quickly in case I would not be able to do any more with it.

But my personal apocalypse was averted and I was able to start fixing all the mistakes and errors of the first build.

Anyway, now for some info about the story.  There have been a couple changes, most notably the whole plot of Arrow route was changed. Also over the course of the builds some details in Zave route have changed.

So this visual novel will have multiple endings, each route will have a 'good' 'bad' and 'ugly ending'.

The good endings will be just that. The bad endings will be sort of neutral and the ugly endings will be complete horror!

Each route will have multiple decisions that lead to the different endings, some of these will come early in the route, and others late.

I will also be exploring a few of my own opinions and views on things with this story, I don't follow with some popular culture views so there might be some "offensive" parts to the story.

Also there will be "early game over" endings in each route besides the three true endings.
